Here are six of our favourite family-friendly staycations in Singapore that you’ll want to bookmark!

If you’ve been following my blog or socials, you’ll know I'm always on the lookout for fun and memorable staycation ideas for the family. Over the years, we’ve discovered several gems that offer great experiences for both kids and adults, from thrilling water parks to nature-filled escapes.
There's one thing I always look out for—accommodations that can fit four adults in a room. That’s a game-changer for families like ours, especially when the kids hit 12 and suddenly count as “adults” at most hotels in Singapore where booking a second room can really drive up the cost.

So here, I’m sharing six of our favourite staycations - each one packed with charm, comfort, and kid-friendly perks - that's great for families big or small. Hope they spark some inspiration for your next school holiday break!
1) The Bus Collective

The Bus Collective at Singapore's Changi Village is a unique and eco-conscious resort made from repurposed buses. Each refurbished room comes with the driver's seat with its steering wheel, signal stick, dashboard, pedals, windscreen and wipers still intact. If you have a young one who loves vehicles, they will be so excited to sleep overnight in a bus.

What we love most: Our room that is a bus - how unique is that! Also, you can choose room configurations that cater to your family size. Our family of four can comfortably sleep in one bus that has bunk beds and a king-sized bed.

Rates: Depends on room configurations and date of stay. Rates tend to be higher for public holidays, school holidays and weekends, but on a normal weekday, rates start from S$200.

2) Civil Service Club Changi

Tucked away in the east of Singapore, Civil Service Club at Changi is a hidden gem that’s way more than your typical chalet. It's one of three CSC chalet locations, but calling it a "chalet" doesn’t quite do it justice given its gorgeous family suites and resort-style facilities - it’s a sweet escape. The colonial-style buildings, leafy surroundings, and beach just around the corner make it feel like you’ve hit pause on city life and stepped into a quiet little retreat.

What we love most: The seriously roomy family suite. At 86 sqm, CSC Changi’s family suites give you loads of space to stretch out, what with a comfy living area, a handy kitchenette, two double bedrooms, two toilets, and a big balcony decked out with patio furniture. It’s perfect for chilling with the fam. And there's the stunning pool area! You’ve got a lap pool and jacuzzies with epic views of Changi beach and the ocean. There’s even a wading pool and wet playground for the kids to splash around.

Rates: CSC Changi family suite rates range from S$326.45 to S$676.05, depending on whether you’re a CSC member and whether your stay falls during peak (weekends, school, and public holidays) or off-peak periods (weekdays). The public can book these suites too, but CSC members enjoy preferential rates.

3) Into the Woods at Lazarus

Located on a beautiful and quiet beachfront at Lazarus Island, Into the Woods comprises nine glamping tents - three family tents and six couple tents - that come with all the frills that make camping life glam.

What we love most: The spacious family tent of 36 square metres that comes with a king bed, sofa bed and well-equipped kitchenette. Plus, it’s set right on a horseshoe-shaped beach, which is just gorgeous. The seawater at Lazarus Island is surprisingly clean, and the sand is soft and powdery. More importantly, it's really quiet on a weekday, such that it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves.

Rates: At the time of writing, a family tent with maximum occupancy of six is at S$430 on weekdays and S$480 per night for weekends, school holidays and public holidays.

4) East Villa at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir

Perched on a hill slope, East Villa at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir features ten exclusive bungalows tucked into lush greenery. You’re close to the reservoir and just a short stroll from the clubhouse—perfect for a chill escape without feeling too far from the action.

What we love most: The modern, stylish villa with plenty of space to kick back. It’s thoughtfully spread across three levels, with comfy living areas, three bedrooms, two toilets, and even a rooftop terrace and patio perfect for catching the sunset. The clubhouse next door has a stunning infinity pool with views of Bedok Reservoir, plus attractions like Aqua Adventure and Action Motion, so there’s no shortage of fun for everyone.

Rates: Rates for East Villa range from S$407.48 to S$886.26 per night at the time of writing. Prices vary based on the villa type, whether you're booking for a weekday or weekend (weekdays are usually cheaper), and your membership status. HomeTeamNS members enjoy the best rates, followed by affiliate members (like SAFRA, JOM, Social, and PAssion), while non-members pay the standard public rate.

5) D'Resort @ Downtown East

Tucked into the lush greenery of Pasir Ris Park, D’Resort at Downtown East mixes nature with city buzz in the best way. Just a short walk from Pasir Ris Beach, the resort is linked to the Wild Wild Wet water park and sits right beside the Downtown East entertainment hub—perfect for keeping the kids (and grown-ups) happily busy.

What we love most: Wild Wild Wet! This water park has a fun mix of rides for both kids and grown-ups and it’s conveniently located right next to D’Resort. One of the best perks of staying at D'Resort is that NTUC silver card members who book directly with D'Resort get complimentary unlimited access to Wild Wild Wet, based on the room occupancy. During our staycations there, we hit the waterpark every single day! D’Resort also offers rooms that can fit up to four adults, which is perfect if you’ve got teens in the family. Some hotels classify those aged 12 and above as adults and cap occupancy at two adults, which means booking an extra room. But here, you won’t have to worry about that—definitely a win for bigger families!

Rates: D’Resort has some pretty sweet deals and packages, like their recent anniversary deal where you could snag a room that fits four adults for as low as S$210 per night. In the past, we got really good rates booking at least two months in advance!
6) Siloso Beach Sentosa

A one-of-a-kind eco-resort with a gorgeous pool and rustic vibes that’ll make you feel like you’ve escaped to Bali. The whole place is designed to be eco-friendly and blend seamlessly with nature—it’s not your typical city hotel.

What we love most: The massive pool tucked among lush greenery, complete with slides and waterfall features! Hotels in Sentosa tend to be pricey, but Siloso Beach Resort stands out as one of the most affordable options that still gives you those resort-style perks. Plus, they’ve got family rooms that fit up to four adults which is super handy if you’ve got kids aged 12 and above, since many hotels classify them as adults and limit adult occupancy to just two, so there's no need for a second room here. Their complimentary Eco Tour for guests is also a must-go! We also love that it's located a short walk from Siloso Beach with eateries and Sentosa's Beach Station within walking distance.

Rates: Rates vary according to how advance you book and whether you are staying during peak periods like weekends and school holidays. At the time of writing, you can snag a family room at as low as S$340. If you have a smaller family of less than four, you can even book the superior or deluxe rooms at below S$200.
