Usborne's For Beginners series tackles complex topics and ideas with easy-to-understand explanations and helpful illustrations, while also encouraging young readers to think critically with pertinent questions.

Usborne Politics for Beginners

When you say Usborne books, most people think it's for younger readers but their For Beginners series is actually really good for upper primary and secondary school students. It tackles some of the topics that students study in secondary and post-seconday school with easy-to-understand explanations and helpful illustrations, making it easy for kids to understand complex topics and ideas😉

Big E is not studying Economics yet but after reading Usborne's Economics For Beginners, she found the concepts useful and applicable to some of her subjects in school, likewise for this one on Politics.

I also like that for the Politics book, it's not focused only on facts but encourages critical thinking by asking related questions like how media can influence politics and how one can make an impact through politics and their government.

We highly recommend this book and its series for tweens and teens! Actually adults who aren't familiar with the topics the series cover would find it useful too! This book can be found at Pick a Book Asia's Shopee store at https://s.shopee.sg/7KujGoAnoH , alongside other books in the series 🤗
