Had a lovely time chatting with Pippa Chorley, Far'ain Jaafar and our kids at the Singapore Writers Festival panel, "My Parents Would Be Cooler If...". Props to our kids for gamely joining us onstage to share their thoughts and views! BTW in case you're wondering, Big E's answer to the panel's theme is, "There's nothing else my mum needs to do to be cool. She's already very cool." 😆

Thank you to everyone who dropped by the Festival Village on a Sunday morning for our panel. It was lovely seeing and catching up with friends!

When you reach the Civic District, you'll see are loads of signs directing you to the venue at Anderson Bridge/Empress Place! I really love the space with those cool seats and gorgeous view! A tad hot when we were there late morning but no worries, there's shelter and drinks on sale to cool you down!

While you are there, do drop by the SWF bookshop at The Arts House! There's a very good range of children literature there, including books by yours truly (Deception's not yet there though). There is a 10% discount for festival pass holders!

Hi everyone, the Singapore Writers Festival is happening 4-20 Nov 2022 and I'm thrilled to be a featured speaker at the amazing literary event this year! 🤗

Come join Far'ain Jaafar and me in 'My Parents Would be Cooler If...' on 13 Nov (Sun) 11am-12pm as we have a casual family-friendly banter about favourite childhood books, films, and music now and then. This session will be moderated by the lovely Pippa Chorley 😉 It would be great to meet y'all in person!

This programme is recommended for families and ages 8 – 12. It is free for all to attend at the SWF Festival Village near Empress Lawn/Anderson Bridge. See the SWF website for more venue details!

Do come by with your kids for the festival. There are loads of kid- and family-friendly workshops and activities. Some are free and some require a festival pass which will give you access to all festival pass events at $30 per pass. Students can also get the Youth Pass at only $12 for early birds and $15 thereafter.

Do check out the Singapore Writers Festival's website for ticketing details and programmes. For programmes suitable for kids and teens, you can search the programmes under 'SWF Playground' and 'Youth Fringe'. My girls and I have eyed quite a few we'd like to attend and signed up for a masterclass too 😉

Hope to see y'all at this year's SWF! 🤗
