READ & REVIEWED: I, Cosmo by Carlie Sorosiak

Updated: Dec 26, 2020

I,Cosmo is a heartwarming tale about a Golden Retriever's dogged pursuit at keeping his family from falling apart - a must-read for dog-lovers both young and old.

Written in a first-person (or dog?) point of view, 'I, Cosmo' by Carlie Sorosiak is a heartwarming middle grade tale about a Golden Retriever's dogged pursuit to keep his family from falling apart.

Cosmo's observations about the world is candid and humorous, while his love for and interactions with his family, very real and believable. I teared up quite a few times when reading this, not because the story is sad - it's really quite amusing and fun - but because I'm reminded a lot of my dog who had passed a decade ago and the love we had for each other.

This story about family, love and loyalty will delight and touch the hearts of dog-lovers, both young and old.

P.S. I don't have a review from my kids as I had borrowed this from the library and it was due soon - I always end up leaving the library with more books than I can finish 😅. But I'll be getting our own copy soon, then expecting my girls to whine for a Golden Retriever!

Disclaimer: We borrowed this book from the library, and my opinions and reviews here are strictly my and my family’s own.
