Book recommendation from Little E: Fairy Tale Reform School series by Jen Calonita!

When 12-year-old Gilly gets caught stealing, she is sentenced to three months at Fairy Tale Reform School where teachers are former fairy tale villians like the Big Bad Wolf and Cinderella's Wicked Stepmother. At the school - whose mission is to turn wicked delinquents and former villains into future heroes - Gilly and her new friends uncover a plot to overthrow the princesses that rule Enchantasia.

I haven't read this myself but it's currently Little E's favourite fairy tale retell stories. She says, "The series is exciting and unpredictable. I like how the story and fairy tale characters are unlike those in traditional fairy tales. This retell is a lot more fun!" There is a 6th book of the series - Cursed - that we are hoping to get when a paperback copy is available! BTW I absolutely love the magical-looking book covers (see below)!

The middle-grade series is recommended for ages 10 and up, and available at all good bookstores. We got ours from GoGuru, the online store of Times Bookstore.

How's your weekend going? It's Big E's SA2 next week so we've been doing revision most of this week 😅 Can't wait for the exams to be over and the hols to start! 😆
