Our favourite books of 2022!

Some of the best books my girls and I had read in 2022!

Here are some of the best books my girls and I had read in 2022! It was really hard to pick ten each as we had read so many good ones but here are our favourites 😊

I read more than 30 books this year - it's not a lot but pretty good to me when you have work, mum duties and streaming platforms jostling for your time 😅 There's a mix of books in my list, so I've listed their genres as I know some of you follow me for middle grade (MG) recommendations.

Big E read close to a hundred books this year and all her selection are MG books. These books made her list for their "interesting premise, touching endings and/or inspirational storyline."

Little E read more than 60 books this year and her list are all MG books as well. These books made her list for their "good humour, likeable/compelling characters and/or interesting plot."

Just a disclaimer that I did not coerce my kids to add their mama's book to their lists - they came up with it themselves based on the books' own merits!

In case you're wondering how we are able to track our reading progress, we use Goodreads to do so. It's a website/app that allows you to catalogue the books you have read and want to read. You can also find book reviews, and write reviews and rate books. If you've read a book and liked it, you could leave a rating/review for the book - it is one way to help authors keep writing, and publisher, publishing. Personally, I find it very useful for keeping a record of the books I want to read, so I know what books to buy or borrow. And it's free to register for an account!

For more book recommendations and reviews, do check out the Read & Reviewed section of my blog!

Wishing everyone a wonderful 2023 and here's to more good reads in the new year!
