Soaking in the CNY vibe at VivoCity

The "Spring Blossoms of Fortune" Chinese New Year set-up at VivoCity Singapore adds a much-welcomed cheerful vibe to the muted festival this year.

I guess we can all agree that this year's Lunar New Year is a rather muted affair with fewer visiting, quiet tossing of yusheng and and a lack of CNY bazaars leading up to CNY. The CNY decorations at the malls also felt really simple this year, and in the absence of the usual CNY atrium fairs (understandably so), the atmosphere doesn't feel as festive as past years.

So, we were pretty glad to see the "Spring Blossoms of Fortune" set-up at the central court of VivoCity.

We spent a good 15 mins taking photos, strolling among the festive decor and reading the zodiac predictions there! I don't think zodiac predictions are very accurate but they are still fun to read and it feels really nice when you read something positive. Haha!

Entry is free and it was already open when we there there at 10am on a Sunday before CNY. The set-up is there till 26 Feb if you'd like to head down to take some pics!

Hope you had enjoyed the CNY long weekend! Remember to maintain good hygiene practices and keep the masks on when visiting! Here's wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous Ox year 😁.
