Do you like durians? 😋 好想吃榴莲 (Hao Xiang Chi Liu Lian) by 刘旭恭 (Liu Xu Gong) is a whimsical and endearing Chinese picture book about a curious little mouse who really wants to know what durian tastes like. So it asks its friends—but their answers are hilariously off the mark. In the end, the mouse decides to just be brave and try it for itself. Did it (and its friends) like the famously love-it-or-hate-it fruit? Read to find out 😁

What seems like a simple tale about tasting something new is actually a gentle, lovely reminder to explore the world with an open mind. It encourages young readers to be curious, to ask questions, and to try things for themselves before forming an opinion. This is a great story for parents to read with their child to encourage them to discover and try out new things in life 😊
