My BFF Is an Alien: Sabotage is shortlisted for the Hedwig Anuar Children's Book Award!
My BFF Is an Alien: Sabotage has been shortlisted for the 2022 Hedwig Anuar Children's Book Award! 😄😁🥳🤯🙏The award, or HABA as it's fondly known as, is presented biennially to an outstanding Singapore children's book. I feel extremely honoured for Sabotage to be considered in the middle-grade book category of the award and alongside Mist-Bound - by my talented friend Daryl Kho - Author - and Awesome Women of Singapore edited by Margaret Thomas.
You can find out more about the nominated titles - including those in the picture book category - and also read a feature interview I did with the Singapore Book Council at the Asian Festival of Children's Content's website 😉
The winners will be revealed at the award ceremony happening on 27 May, 6-730pm at the AFCC and the event would be livestreamed via the AFCC's Facebook page and website. I am super excited to be attending an in-person event after so long, and looking forward to meeting and catching up with friends then 😁 (I'd have to go shop for shoes cos my dress shoes have mostly fallen apart from the lack of use over the past 2 years 😅)
Thank you Singapore Book Council for the nomination and to everyone - including readers, industry stakeholders and my publisher Epigram Books - who have been supporting and showing so much love for my books. I feel very blessed indeed 🙏
